A review of last year’s performance from the D.E.Os office reveals that Bristar was among the 3 most improved schools in the District; was also among the 5 schools in the District that produced the leading candidates, and beyond that we were recognized as one of the 5 schools that had no wastage grade i.e. D grade.With an improved KCSE mean, Bristar was:
Position 99 nationally in the category of private schools;
Position 21/500 schools in Kiambu County;
Position 5/121 in Kiambu County in the category of private schools;
Position 6/33 in Thika West District,
Position 2/20 in Thika West District in the category of private schools and
Position 429/1000 schools nationally.
Out of the 53 candidates we had registered, 38 of them attained direct university entry grades, accounting for 72% in contrast to the previous year where we had 50%. Majority of these students have been admitted at University of Nairobi, Daystar University, Catholic University, Kenyatta University, JKUAT and others are preparing to join universities abroad. On the other hand only 15 students or 28% will do pre-university or be admitted for Diploma courses in good institutions because they have the required grades.
However, beyond the mean grade we added value, transformed lives and gave back to the parents girls with character and life skills for their future.
